The Opinel N°03 stainless steel folding knife is our second smallest folding knife, ideal for use as a letter opener or box cutter. Despite its compact size, it boasts the signature Opinel blade complemented by a beechwood handle, making it a convenient addition to any pocket. Due to its size, this knife does not include the Virobloc safety ring. The blade is crafted from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, known for its anti-corrosive properties and minimal maintenance requirements. With a carbon content of at least 0.40%, it offers an exceptional cutting edge that is easily sharpened. The knife features a locking mechanism developed in 1955, ensuring the blade remains securely opened or closed. To lock the knife, simply twist the locking ring clockwise into the closed position during transport, and turn it counterclockwise to prevent the blade from folding during use. The Opinel emblem, the Crowned Hand, has been stamped on all Opinel blades since 1909, guaranteeing their origin and quality.
