It is constructed from regenerated leather, an eco-friendly alternative made from waste leather fibres and plant-based components. The Collection France sheaths represent a modern, sustainable method for carrying your cherished Opinel knife. 

For over 130 years, Opinel has been dedicated to producing high-quality knives and tools in the picturesque French Alps. Continuing the legacy of Joseph Opinel, who began his craft in 1890, we proudly manufacture our products at our facility in Chambéry, France. The sheath is further enhanced with R-PET felt sides, which are made from recycled plastic bottles, underscoring our commitment to sustainability.
